This is a combined ‘pop up’ sailing day and Closing Day for all yachts but incorporating the Michael Haggitt Trophy for yachts that have Sailing School crew aboard.

This is the rescheduled OYC Opening Day incorporating a Public Yachting Have a Go Day.
The Public ‘Have a Go Day’ runs from 10:00am till noon. It is intended to encourage new members interested in sailing or signing up for Learn to Sail classes. Enrolments will be taken on the day.
We will need some members to have their boats, trailer yachts or keelers, available for giving interested people a trial sailing experience. Depending on numbers crew exchanges can be done on the water utilising the rescue boats.
Following on from this is our rescheduled official Opening Day racing in the Upper Harbour. Entries at the Clubhouse from 11:00am. First warning signal 12:25pm The actual course will be determined on the day depending on the wind conditions. For course, safety and race instructions refer to the following link. Opening Day Racing
A BBQ will follow racing and the bar will be open.
Everyone is encouraged to attend the Opening Day either as a competitor or spectator.
