It was a grey day with a hint of drizzle but there was a nice breeze to assist the 8 competitors in this annual race. Thanks to the race organiser, Warren, the course laying team & starters, Pete & Stewie, the time keeper, Michael, the rescue boat crew, Jevon & Georgie,  and to Barry for arranging the BBQ and manning the bar.

OYC Mac & Back Race Results & Photos

Despite a delayed start due to a tanker departure at our start time, the race held some interesting incidents caused by winds gusting up to twice the wind speed. Conditions were changeable throughout which produced some interesting results.
Thanks to the organiser, the start & course laying crew, the time keeper and to Barry who manned the bar and fed the hunger pangs afterwards.

OYC Opening Day 03 October 2021 Results & Photos

A great Opening Day despite the overcast cloud and light to nothing wind. This didn’t detract from the competition however with a great turn out of 24 yachts running in the three divisions.
A special thanks to the organisers, the committee & support boat crews and the team back at the clubhouse preparing the after race BBQ & refreshments.
Overall an inspiring start to the season.
