– the pre Season Members Working Bee is ON starting at 0900. There are a range of jobs that can be tackled on the day depending on who turns up. Some may only be able to be partly completed where preparation and first coats are involved but any progress is positive.
Tasks identified include gardening & bush trimming, gutter cleaning, building hose down, clubhouse interior window cleaning, waterblasting as required, moss & mould spraying, scraping and undercoating sailing & rescue boat sheds, trailer yacht lifter wirebrushing & undercoating, hand rail wire brushing and undercoating, new flagpole seat foundation preparation, check over of club yachts, rail replacement and cleaning up storeroom and office.
It would be extremely helpful if you brought along your personal earmuffs, safety glasses, gloves, overalls and appropriate tools for the tasks you could be involved with. If the weather is doubtful a Post will appear on the OYC Website by 0830 advising whether things are going ahead or not.
