The annual Interclub Challenge Trophy Race to Warrington Bay started at 0930 hrs from the PCYC club start line. There was a great turnout of 11 yachts competing. There was little wind and yachts were initially drifting with the outgoing tide. On account of this the course was shortened to the Landfall Tower and later to Pile 1A inside the harbour entrance though some competitors had trouble identifying the correct pile. The breeze had come up during the morning and some serious competition ensued. Overall, the Interclub Challenge Trophy was won again by the OYC. The winning yacht on handicap was a OYC yacht ‘ENFIN’ skippered by Andy Winneke, who also won the OYC Patterson Cup. Results are available HERE Click on the link for PHOTOS

OYC Lady Skipper Race – 9 February CANCELLED
A decision was made at 1000 hrs to cancel the race due to the inclement weather, rain and SW wind gusting to 25.3 knots. A lack of entrants sealed the deal and we went out for coffee instead.
OYC Timms Cup – 26 January 2025 – Results & Photos
This was a rerun of the OYC Timms Cup that was previously scheduled for 8 December. Conditions were overcast with light rain but good sailing and harbour conditions. A small fleet of enthusiastic sailors competed and enjoyed a welcome BBQ after the event. Thanks to all the competitors along with Pete, Robyn, Michael, Ann, Ross, Penny, Peter & Frank who made this all happen.

OYC Christmas Celebration 2024 – Photos
The OYC Christmas Celebration kicked off with a flotilla of yachts, launches and RIB’s making their way to the PCYC where a BBQ lunch was enjoyed by all. Thanks goes to Owen & Lesley for their efforts in making this a success. Next the flotilla headed back via the eastern channel round the various bays. The weather disrupted further in and on water activity as the thunder rolled, the lightning flashed and the rain pelted down. Everyone assembled back at the club by 1630 where soon after Santa arrived and dished out an array of gifts and treats to the kids and everyone else. This was followed by a Christmas dinner from BBQ Bill of spit roasted pork, chicken, new potatoes, vegetables and salads and finished off with a dessert of pavlova, fruit salad and ice cream. OYC Mac & Back Race – Results & Photos – Nov 24
The annual Mac and Back race started at 1000hrs on Sunday 24 November. Conditions were favourable and there was a great turnout of 13 yachts which provided a splendid spectacle on the harbour. Congratulations to ‘TENEKE’ and crew for taking out the trophy.
